Disclosure Day Movie – My Thoughts

I’m writing this musing soon after watching Steven Spielberg’s acclaimed movie, Disclosure Day.  I believe you (dear readers) are aware of the premise of the movie, the hype, and most likely, the growing media buzz about our relationship with extraterrestrials.  I invite you now to look within, not outwardly to the movie or the media.  I invite you to explore feelings related to an expansion of human consciousness and an understanding that life as we know it, from our limited human perspective, may change markedly.  I invite you to read further some of my thoughts and impressions. 

1) Looking for rescue

I believe that we the people (worldwide) are yearning for a sense of hope in this chaotic and evolutionary age, the Anthropocene. We’re seeking rescue, as we’ve done (and still do) vis a vis our religious beliefs, our scientific beliefs, as well as our natural goodness Gaian beliefs.  We like to believe that a hero or heroine, or savior, or political leader, technological advance, extraterrestrial or Marvel superhero will appear to save the day.  The movie capitalizes on this sense of longing and hope.  I felt it deeply arise within me.  I had tears of hope during the film.  My heart opened and I listened.

And, as a species, we must grow into our wholeness in order to be fully present and capitalize on this newly forming relationship and the possible “cosmic goodies” offered.  Yes, I do believe that we’ve been “visited,” perhaps for millions of years, and that there are those among us who may know of the contact, the technologies, and perhaps our kins’ intentions.  (Yes again, I do see them as kin.  We are all one and connected.)  However, I don’t believe that they are here to rescue us.  Yeah, maybe to teach us about the cosmos and free energy, etc.  But not to save our collective asses. That’s up to us.

We need to grow into our wholeness to co-create a world that works for all, to live up to humanity’s potential and be capable of befriending “the other.”  Hell, if we can’t cooperate with other humans and with a living Earth, how can we cooperate with a non-human, conscious being?  There is no getting around it.  We have to evolve into our expanded empathetic capacities to participate on the greater, universal stage.  Perhaps they know this and are watching patiently.  And perhaps they are getting impatient, again.  Perhaps they’re considering terminating this expression as they’ve possibly done in the past.  Atlantis, Lemuria?  So much left unknown or concealed. My advice and urging is that we get our shit together so we can play in the same sandbox. 

2) Communication with non-human beings

What if they don’t communicate primarily via sound vibrations?  What if they communicate telepathically?  Or if they have technologies to assist in this manner of communication with our particular species.  Who of us may be able to effectively tune into their mode of communication?  What personality traits may promote this potential?  My thought is that when we evolve into our wholeness, we become more heart-centered and receptive to “the love channel.”  I jokingly write love channel, but at the same time, I mean it.  As we evolve physiologically, not only do new neuropathways form in our brains based on our beliefs and feelings, but we also become more loving, accepting and receptive.  This is termed heart coherence. Though they may not initially appear as bodies, they may instead show up in expanded states of consciousness, at least for first impressions, for first contact.  (I believe they also have bodies that, like ours, need protecting. This alludes to the most painful piece of the movie.) 

I truly believe that in grokking wholeness, we open channels to heart-based, and perhaps soul-based (sacred/noetic) modes to communicate with nonhuman beings. I see this expansion happening increasingly as I look around me.  This is the process known as quickening. I affirm that it IS happening, and I rejoice. 

3) Technology

I believe that they must have advanced technology that can help alleviate suffering in our world by providing free energy, travel capacity, and healing modalities, amongst other possible gifts.  As alluded to in sections above, why in the world (pun intended) would they give us these wonderful gifts if we’re likely to turn them into weapons, or limit their access to only the very rich and privileged, or to further subjugate the masses?

4) Empathy and Listening

By now my main point must be obvious.  The movie was good.  I enjoyed it and was enticed by the drama, the theme, the great acting, and the yearning for a happily-ever-after ending.  It was money well invested.  I believe the movie may wake some people up to a wider vision of possibilities, both external and internal.  External in believing that benevolent beings are possible and may be present on the planet, and internal in feeling compassion and empathy growing stronger.  We have that capacity as we grow into the understanding and embodiment of our oneness, wholeness and interbeing. 

5) Oneness, wholeness and interbeing

Yes, I always come back to this trinity in my musings.  What is really being disclosed, whether this day, this week or anytime this life?  It’s our interconnectedness.  We are on the threshold of becoming universal humans!  Barbara Marx Hubbard, author of Conscious Evolution, wrote that we’re evolving to Homo Universalis.  The astronaut and founder of The Institute of Noetic Science (IONS), Edgar Mitchell, wrote of Homo Noeticus.  I’ve also read the terms Homo Luminous and Homo Sanctus.  Willis Harman, the first president of IONS wrote the book Global Mind Change, further suggesting our evolutionary path.

After seeing the movie, I have hope that this great truth will expand – we’re not alone and there is hope for the future of humanity as we continue to emerge into our evolutionary potential.  I think we’ve already had contact with our kin and that the disclosure is near.  And, hey, if not, then that’s okay too.  Either way, we are called upon to become good neighbors and stewards.  What a great playground to practice on – our beautiful and abundant planet.  So, if they’re here, wonderful.  Let us welcome them with open arms and hearts.  If not, also great.  Let us welcome each other with similar gusto!  Could there be other planets as beautiful?  Perhaps we’ll find out later in this, or in some other incarnation. So much to learn!!  This is exciting!  I recommend the movie.  Let me know what you think.
