A Dialogue - Awakening the Masses

Point
What is so disheartening in today’s world is that main-stream media pays little attention to the polycrisis (eight major challenges humanity is facing in the 21st century) the suffering it will cause and the dim future it will bring about for future generations. Worse still is that it is ignoring how these interacting feedback loops cause exponential change and how that alone keeps quickening the magnitude of the forthcoming disruptions... Most disconcerting of all is how national and regional governments and institutions are actively now misleading us and moving us in the wrong direction...
Unfortunately, not too many, and certainly not enough, people are feeling the same depth of concern about the future, for their children, grandchildren and future generations yet to be born, as well as all living creatures that we share the planet with and for our precious earth. So many are distracted by the lure of sex, food, media, sports, entertainment, personal issues, family issues, relationship issues, economic woes, addictions, and a host of other distractions.
In much of our current endeavors, it is easy to see that we are engrossed in ego and have separated from and have forgotten the core of our being. This is, in part, our mission going forward via our website and other social media - helping people remember and reminding them of their essence.
In this day and age of ego-centeredness and gross distraction, we've forgotten our inherent connection, our intra-connectedness, with each other, with the living earth, and with Source/Essence. And this must be the focus of all planetary citizens going forward.
So, our question to address is "How to effectively awaken the masses?" Certainly not everybody will gain the insight or the will to change behaviors and habits quickly, but how to significantly affect a tipping point of people such that they really understand the dilemma facing humanity and begin the shift to more sustainable and regenerative lifestyles as well as influencing our public and private institutions to do the same before we cross the final tipping point to catastrophe.
Sometimes we envy most people’s ignorance and trance. After all, ignorance is blissful. Our knowing and caring about the suffering that is coming certainly carries a burden along with it. Our job is to balance our mission with self-care. We must center ourselves in joy, healthy relationships and rest. At the same time, we must increase the intensity and dedication to our joint calling.
The good news is that since we haven’t reached the tipping point to collapse yet, there is always the possibility and hope that we can still turn things around. The big question is: Do we have the collective will to do it?
Counter Point
Consider an (alternative and possibly minority) view that direct confrontation of the polycrisis is not what is needed and that it may not be a requirement that the mainstream media and the majority of people shift their views immediately.
We submit that with the rise of corporate hegemony, blind consumption, greed, and all the rest, became a real threat to humanity. However, evolution does not occur when conditions are stable. On the contrary, chaos and instability are required to facilitate change. When change is required, it will happen. The seeds have already been sown…
Change happens when subjective personal experience becomes an overwhelming fact that must be assimilated. Everyone will get that opportunity.
Resources exist, and are multiplying daily, to learn ways of being that are more in harmony with Nature. All over the internet, (not in main stream media such as the New York Times), are practical tips on restoring the soil. Natural medicine has made remarkable inroads during our lifetime, as people are learning they deserve better than what they are getting. Psychedelics are changing minds and lives every day, and in the open. Regeneration is becoming a hot topic for discussion…
We are not drowning; we are riding the tsunami. We may not personally get to shore, but we are definitely headed in the right direction, and taking the people with us who can hear our message. Carry on with good heart! Serve the one before you! Trust Nature, it's smarter than all of us!
